On Friday, shortly before the commencement of the inaugural 2025 F1 track activities, CEO and President Stefano Domenicali welcomed Tom Garfinkel, the managing partner of the Miami Grand Prix. Together, they unveiled a 10-year contract extension for the race.
This indicates that Formula 1 will remain in Miami Gardens up to at least 2041, with Domenicali highlighting the crucial part this event plays in the expansion of the championship.
“[We are] verifying that Miami will play a key role in our largest initiative to bolster our position within the United States of America,” he stated.

It also holds potential to become one of the key foundations supporting our development within this nation—a country which embodies the belief that we can achieve many great things collaboratively.

Absolutely, each of these three distinct components complements our overall strategy. Thus, they will drive forward the remaining aspects, even with one [Las Vegas] being under our control, ensuring we strengthen our position in the U.S. for improved outcomes.
Miami played an essential role in our progress following the pandemic, as we shouldn’t overlook that numerous uncertainties arose afterward. Hence, successfully organizing that race showcased how well-suited Miami was for this particular clientele. This insight underscored Miami’s significance within the broader landscape of the U.S.
So, for these reasons, as I mentioned earlier, it’s highly important because we have the opportunity to focus on the future—just like everybody ought to consider ways to collectively boost the development of our sport.
We aim to think increasingly ambitiously. The sole method to cultivate such large-scale thinking is by collaborating with top-tier partners. This approach will assist us in understanding an environment that remains largely unexplored, ultimately proving advantageous for all parties involved in our respective endeavors.
