On the evening of May 2, drones targeted multiple airbases in Crimea. The Kacha airbase was hit, as reported by the partisan group ATESH via their Telegram channel ASTRA.
“The Ukrainian Defense Forces have successfully targeted the Kacha airfield in Crimea,” according to the ATESH report.
Hence, the movement’s representative has communicated that currently, a fire can be seen at the Kacha military airfield, along with explosions being heard, suggesting potential ammunition detonations.
“Therefore, we can acknowledge the success of the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ attack on Russian military installations in Crimea tonight. Additionally, based on our inside sources, this is merely a fraction of what the Russians have planned. Further developments are anticipated,” the resistance fighters comment.

Meanwhile, the ASTRA Telegram channel reports that in the temporarily occupied Crimea, following the drone attack near the Kacha airfield and the town of Kutove, there has been an escalation in military activities.
Consequently, inhabitants also mentioned in online chats that they witnessed blasts close to the Inkerman vineyard, situated roughly 2 kilometers away from the Kacha airstrip.

ASTRA additionally highlighted that a fire was spotted near the Bakhchisarai plant Budindustriya, which stands as one of the biggest facilities for manufacturing construction materials.
The head of the Russian occupation authority in Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, stated that the nighttime drone assault on the occupied city was the largest such incident for this year.
Drone attack on Crimea
On the evening of May 2, occupied Crimea faced a significant assault from strike drones. The region experienced explosions near military airbases, with active operations from anti-aircraft defenses and multiple fires reported.
Consequently, intense blasts along with long lines were reported around the Simferopol airport and close to the military airstrips at Kacha and Belbek in Sevastopol, as well as in areas such as Saky, Novofedorivka, and Dzhankoi.
