A flight attendant has amazed social media users by disclosing her staggering monthly income — even though she works part-time hours.

Josette, from Albuquerque,
New Mexico
, has spent 14 years working with the local airline Southwest Airlines, and often recounts the ups and downs of being a flight attendant on
TikTok
.

In December 2024, the content producer posted an upload.
video
to her page

, where she revealed the substantial amount of money she had received that month.

The video depicts Josette making a playful grimace, accompanied by extra text stating: “I’m tired of my job… But then I recall my paycheck from last month was $9980.66.”

As explained by the flight attendant in additional information provided beneath the video, her entire income for the month—amounting to £7,489.98—was her gross salary.

She commented, “I put in roughly 150 hours each month. The pay can differ based on your tenure and the number of hours you contribute. I excel at managing my time and end up with quite a bit of VJA.”

More than 2000 viewers rushed to the comments section to express their astonishment at the sum of money Josette had made in just one month – with several people half-joking about changing professions themselves.

One individual commented, “I was under the impression that flight attendants don’t earn high salaries?” Meanwhile, someone else remarked, “You could make just as much working in an office environment over 35 hours. It’s absurd.”

A spectator identifying themselves as an airline stewardess questioned: “150 hours?!? GIRL HOW??? Where I come from, you barely ever reach 100; forget about hitting 150! Typically, we cap off around 80.”

A fellow flight attendant shared, “I received only €280 for my check last month.”

In the meantime, another spectator supported Josette’s statements by commenting, “Indeed, a friend of mine who works as a flight attendant earns more than $100K annually. She has been in this profession for 13 years now. It’s quite lucrative.”

Some considered changing professions entirely, with one individual mentioning, “It seems I’m leaving college to become a flight attendant,” whereas another quipped, “This makes me really want to quit my job as a nurse.”

One person remarked, ‘I guess I should’ve joined the ranks of flight attendants,’ whereas another chimed in, ‘Perhaps being an architect isn’t what I aspire to anymore…’

Ultimately, an observant airline passenger remarked: “That’s why we never see those veteran employees stepping down!”
