President
Donald Trump
suffered a
massive blow
On Wednesday, a three-judge panel from the U.S. Court of International Trade—including a judge appointed by President Trump—ruled that the president’s “reciprocal tariffs” applied almost universally to the global market were unlawful.

The decision stating that Trump failed to properly activate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act incited anger among some of his followers; however, it garnered widespread approval and jubilation from economic specialists and conventional political commentators on social media platforms.

Major announcement! The US Court of International Trade has invalidated Trump’s unlawful tariff plan, ruling it does not comply with IEEPA.

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes stated, “The president lacks the authority to impose tariffs single-handedly. It’s reassuring to have led this case alongside Oregon to safeguard Arizona families and small businesses.”

In a polite yet firm manner, the Court showed that Trump’s actions have only a loose connection to the claimed emergency he cited. Since trade falls under congressional authority, Trump misused the narrowly defined powers that Congress had granted him.

As former George W. Bush speechwriter David Frum notes, “The ruling made by the Court of International Trade remains open to appeal, initially at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and potentially culminating with the Supreme Court. They might hesitate when faced with having to say no. However, as things stand right now, this constitutes a significant victory for both law and liberty.”

“A massive ruling. Trump used the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to impose every tariff you’ve read about that targeted a whole country or group of countries: Canada, Mexico, China (og + retaliatory), Liberation Day, etc. The judge just struck them all down,”

In reaction to White House advisor Stephen Miller calling the decision a “judicial coup,” ex-GOP staffer and current anti-Trump activist Ron Filipkowski responded.

It has become clear from a Marxist perspective that the Constitution permits Congress alone to levy tariffs.

From this experience, Trump has learned that he should only impose sanctions on businesses and individuals as a means to initiate trade discussions. He won’t be using tariffs for this purpose anymore.

Tomorrow, MAGA will attempt to claim responsibility for the performance of the stock market, but let’s not forget that this is due to Trump’s ‘Liberation Day’ tariffs being overturned. TACO Trump is likely to be furious about this development.
