IPL 2025 Points Table Following Today’s Match Update:
The Gujarat Titans returned to victory lane by defeating the Sunrisers Hyderabad with a margin of 38 runs, propelling them to second place on the IPL points table. In contrast, SRH remained stuck at ninth position as their chances for making it to the playoffs became increasingly slim. Although Abhishek Sharma smashed an impressive 74 runs, it was insufficient to guide his team past the target set by GT, who maintained control by taking wickets consistently throughout the match.
Previously, the trio of Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, and Jos Buttler showcased dominant performances with their aggressive batting, propelling the Gujarat Titans to a total score of 224 for six against Sunrisers Hyderabad during an Indian Premier League match held on Friday. Gill scorched through with a rapid 76 runs from only 38 balls, whereas Sudharsan contributed a swift 48 runs off 23 deliveries as they set a first-wicket partnership of 87 runs within just 6.5 overs. Following this, Buttler propelled the Gujarat Titans beyond 200 points with his impressive innings of 64 runs scored in 37 ball hits. In the final over, bowled by Jaydev Unadkat who secured three wickets overall at a conceding rate of 35 runs, he managed to take down three batsmen scoring only 12 runs in that over.
On Thursday, the Mumbai Indians crushed the Rajasthan Royals by 100 runs, eliminating them from the IPL playoff contention. This victory placed the team led by Hardik Pandya at the summit of the points table with their sixth consecutive win. In contrast, Rajasthan remained stuck in eighth place.
This is how the points table appears following Gujarat Titans’ victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium:
