DENVER (AP)—Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray started in Game 6 against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday despite being labeled as questionable due to an illness.
Murray’s specific ailment remained undisclosed; however, a widespread seasonal virus affected several members of the team throughout the playoffs. During the initial series, Murray appeared unwell, sporting long sleeves as he heavily perspired during a Game 2 defeat against the Los Angeles Clippers at their home court.
In the playoffs, Murray is putting up an average of 22.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 5.3 assists, figures that closely mirror his season averages of 21.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 6.0 assists.
The Nuggets require a victory on Thursday evening to set up a Game 7 showdown in Oklahoma City on Sunday.
