During the NFL offseason, there isn’t an official way to celebrate Mother’s Day as baseball does. Nonetheless, Baltimore Ravens’ quarterback Lamar Jackson shared a heartfelt message for mothers on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Sunday.
Wishing all mothers across the cosmos a Happy Mother’s Day,
Jackson wrote on X
with a few emojis.
It goes beyond just Jackson’s mother; as he put it, these mothers span across “the entire universe.”
When it comes to Jackson’s mother, their connection is quite public knowledge. Lamar’s dad passed away when he was only eight, leaving his mom, Felicia Jones, to work diligently to raise and nurture him.

To this day, Jackson’s mother remains crucially important. In December 2024, Jackson disclosed that his mother had strongly rebuked him following a defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles, as reported.

Jackson mentioned about his rushing performance in that game, saying, “My mom just pointed this out to me. She basically gave me an earful,” he explained. “She felt there were openings I should have exploited and run with. My focus, however, was on letting the receivers create their paths. We did have plays where they were still developing. I aimed to follow my read progression, yet, she was indeed correct.”
Nevertheless, everyone still holds affection for the Ravens quarterback, and his message was meant for all mothers on this special day.
