(newsinpo.site) – India’s Tata Consultancy Services is carrying out an internal probe to ascertain if it served as the entry point for a cyber assault on UK-based Marks and Spencer, which led to customer data being breached and affected the company’s functioning, according to FT on Friday.
The Indian IT firm, having served M&S for over ten years, aims to complete the investigation by the end of this month, according to the report, based on insights from individuals acquainted with the situation.

M&S refused to provide comments, and TCS did not promptly reply to a request for comment from newsinpo.site.
The cyberattack announced by M&S in April is expected to result in approximately £300 million ($404.9 million) of lost operating profit for the company, with disruptions to their online services potentially lasting until July.
