On Saturday, the social networking site X, previously called Twitter, faced technical difficulties resulting in widespread problems for its users.

Based on data from the service tracking platform Downdetector, numerous users in the United Kingdom faced issues when trying to access both the application and the website.

The website monitoring user experiences and service disruptions indicated that the problem started just after 1 PM.

By 1:57 PM, the website had recorded 11,787 complaints from users experiencing problems.

There was an outage on Thursday affecting X, leaving users without access to it for several hours.

Tesla
and Starlink owner
Elon Musk
acquired the platform in 2022 for $44 billion (£38 billion).

PA Media has reached out to X for a comment.
