Brentwood Recovery Home announced on Friday that Dr. Sonja Grbevski has been named its new executive director.
Grbevski will take up her new position on May 20.
“I feel profoundly thankful and humbled to be taking on the role of executive director at Brentwood Recovery Home,” stated Grbevski.

I’m enthusiastic about collaborating with our skilled team, alumni, and community partners to further our mission and vision and create a significant impact on the individuals we serve.
Grbevski boasts more than 25 years of experience in leadership positions and a history of work in mental health and addiction fields.
She holds a Doctorate in Counselor Education from Wayne State University, a Master of Arts degree in Counseling with an emphasis on Rehabilitation, Mental Health, and Addictions also from Wayne State University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Windsor.
She has earned a diploma in Chemical and Substance Abuse Counselling from St. Clair College as well.
“We are delighted to announce that Sonja has joined us as the executive director of Brentwood Recovery Home,” stated Julie Santarosa, who serves as the board chair of Brentwood.
Her deep expertise and steadfast commitment to mental health and community assistance will surely fortify our organization and improve the essential services we offer.
Grbevski will take over from the retiring executive director Elizabeth Dulmage.
